Something random...

An amazing whopping 2 kg... thats an amazing feat for someone who is actually trying to LOSE weight... not actually GAIN the weight... tsk tsk tsk...

Sorry for the beginning.. but that has been on my mind since Saturday... the day I had to weigh myself at the doc's .. hahaha... and yes am feeling sick... slight fever (though it was pretty bad on Sat).. mucous-sy..sore throat... the works... what's bad is that my baby girl got the germies from me!... sigh... sian baby... she's handling it well though....

Had a tired/pak pandir weekend... though yesterday was a quiet and nice day at Mid Vall with hubby and my chicky boom boom... :)

Friday was a blast at Sunway Lagoon... Baby girl had so much fund just lazying around the pool with Wayey who turned 4 that day... my does time fly by fast... We got there just before 12 and since its a Friday (weekday) there was no crowd to fight our way through to the front of the line. The tix was a crazy RM230 (2 adult tics; baby was free).... wish I could keep a straight face and say my maid was a Malaysian.. hahahah but it only meant of RM30 diff so was not worth my high blood pressure just from the thought of lying  :P

We managed to sneaked in some mangoes though thanx to my poker face maid... hahahaha... (yes it's still the same maid I used to complain abt dulu)... she hid it really well... sanggup 'investigate' how they did the baggage check just to know to hide it. And no... I don't make a habit of doing that... just that we though we'd be going to my sis's house first so we brought a lot of food with us... and 6 hours in the car may actually ruin the precious fruits.... oh well... any how we got in... fruits and even 2 bowls of 'cicah' intact... OMG... tsk tsk tsk....

So then like blind tourists... managed to fumble our way to the locker area and change into our swim suits... me in my very proper hijab outfit thingy (complete with tudung biru... hahahah if only the baju was  not pink!) so am sure I made quite a pretty sight... but baby girl was all cute in her yellow 2 pc...  :)

She was so excited that she basically thought she was a mermaid... wanted to spend the whole time in water... tsk tsk... she was so happy... that makes it all worth while... we spend the day till 6+ though Jellybean fell asleep... in WATER at 5.30... hahahah the funniest sight ever... I was holding her of course... she just loves the waves around her... or maybe it's mummy going up and down in the water... who knows... but it soothes her into a little overdue nap...

Food was ok in there... at much higher prices of course... so for 2+1 affair... gotta be prepared to dish out at least RM100 for a comfortable 1 day outing...

Salam Aidilfitri

I had a lovely 4 day weekend with my Jellybean.. our maid went on leave for 3 days so I had her all to myself and I loved every lil moment... even when she's crying to get me to pick her up! :) Yes... I am weird that way...

Hari raya was spent with my in-laws as usual for our morning bersalam-salaman... then we were off to my SIL's to join my family for a our first (and so far only) rumah beraya... hehehe... we had a grand time makan laksa johor and of course... kuih raya... it was funny to see the 3 kiddos chasing SIL's poor and frightened cat around the table! hahahaha... all in good fun though... needless to say, the cat disappeared when she could. Baby girl was so brave and touched the cat numerous times... she just loves cats... or as she calls them "katt"...

Then we went home where all 3 kids went to take their naps and eventually got our own salam-salaman under way just before Maghrib.. it was messy and non photogenic op with cranky Jellybean wanting her dinner... but it was lovely because I got to spend it with my whole fam present.  :)

That was raya for us...

Chili's Birthday Dinner

Turning 29...

I just turned 29 a few days ago... and the skip to next digit in my life calculator has left me feeling.... hehehe... still the same   :)  I love birthdays, especially my own and every year I will try to make it a special occasion. What is special to me? Spending it with my family... hehehe... yes, I am one of those people who loves the crowd... if crowd you mean my family that is... the more, the merrier  ;)

So this year it started with our traditional dinner... and being me, where else but Chili's my all time fav restaurant... we went to one in Citta Mall since the ambiance is quiet than other places due to the place just being opened so there are less crowds and the shops are still in renovation mode. The tables in this particular Chili's are also places with more space between each other and when it comes to 8 adults and 3 little ones, you kind of need all the space you can get to have a peaceful and wonderful mealtime. Jellybean behaved wonderfully and we had ourselves some merry fun time. :)

Then came the must-not-be-missed birthday song and cake near midnight and this time all the kids are hyper-ed up since its late... tiramisu slice... nyum! hehehe...and I got my first giftie from hubby... a pendant for my Thomas Sabo bracelet... love it!

The next morning was a birthday breakfast date my my sis and bro and SIL at bangsar... and I got my 'packaged' giftie from abang... Why packaged? hehehe this year I've decided to ask specific gifts from my family and 'packaged' it up with Shiya's gift so that shiya can get all the expensive toys that I know she'll love... from abang dearest... a little slide! :D It's pink and purple in colour and ooohh so beautiful! I thought we were only going to be there for awhile, but since the morning started late... and we had ourselves some merry time talking and eating... it quickly turned late and darling hubby met me in Mid Val for some outing time at the Gardens... Night time was reserved for some yummy dinner time with my in laws at Delicious Bangsar... Funny how we had my birthday lunch at Delicious KL exactly a year before and my FIL commented how big my tummy had looked that day... hehehehe :P

So that's my turning 29 for you... a day filled with time with all those that I love... which for me... was the most perfect gift off all! :D

Thank you for making it so wonderful... *hugs*

Aqiqah for Jellybean and Mikha

Since both babies were born only 51 days apart, it was decided that we should make a double aqiqah so that everyone could come and celebrate the both of them. We also decided that we would forgo the usual marhaban and doa selamat (oh poor Jellybean!) and just have the guests over for some yum-yum roast lamb and masakan kampung... what was on the menu of masakan kampung? Telur itik masal lemak, ayam goreng berempah, udang & petai masak merah... oohh yum yum... and of course not forgetting, ikan bakar and sambal!

Since it involved 3 families (myself, parents & mikha's parents), the amount of people budgeted to make it to the event was also increased to approx. 150 people... of course we invited more than this... since it was buffet open house style, I wasn't too worried.

The door gifts given was my all time fav, pulut kuning and rendang because somehow when it comes to religious events/kenduris it just seemed appropriate. We placed it in a plexi box and wrapped a ribbon around it, topped off with stickers made by Dear Azalea... We also had personalised Yassin printed out. For the kids? I wrapped bahulu in the cookie bag and tied satin ribbons.

As you know, Jellybean wore her first baju kurung... it was soft pink with purple flowers... embroidered cotton. Lovely! :) it actually matches my baju kurung for raya, so am hoping that she can still fit into them...As a last minute thing, I was even able to find the perfect shoes for her... hehehe... my months of hunting finally paid off when I found pink slippers from Lovely Lace... it was soft pink with little flowers on top... so my sweet baby was not fully complete for her beautiful day.

Not to forget the rest of the family, I spent the day before the aqiqah combing the sops for appropriate gifts as a thank you from Jellybean for helping us out through the days... each couple got a weaved bag I found which contained personal gifties to all the little ones. :) Their mummy and daddy... a couple of Patchi chocs...

** this entry has been a long in coming... since I have been waiting to upload it together with the pictures... :)  Anyhow, it was a wonderful celebration though not many were able to meet my beautiful Princess since she chose today of all days to be ermm, a little cranky... but the guests had fun with the sumptuous meal and everyone loved the pulut kuning doorgift. I myself couldn't stop eating the leftovers! :P

** here you go some pictures of the event... though a lot are missing such as happy pictures with family and of course baby Mikha as he was safely sleeping with his mummy in his 'kantung'  :P

** oh the function was held on 11.6.11... as you know 13 June is my anniversary and it has an additional special memory attached to it because on our 1st year anniversary was the day we found out I was carrying little baby Shiya...  :)

Baby and mummy...

The grandparents...

Hehehe... my act of extravagance for the function

Lovely aunties helping out with the doorfits...

Birthday... mine! :D

Yes dears, I turned 28 today... It's funny how being closer to 30 I am feeling younger. Is that even possible?? hehehe...

This year I am grateful for a lot of things... and one that always stays in my mind is that special people that surrounds me and makes me feel special on this day. That's the one thing that matters most... :)  It started off with a nice lunch at Delicious with my in-laws... we had yummy lunch dishes that followed with an even more yummy brownie for dessert! It's so sweet how they are always thinking of me and insist to take me out there since I missed it the last time they were there on a family outing (was with my fam and couldn't get away to join).

Then came an even bigger surprise that night... I went back home to have dinner with my dad... and the moment I saw the dark house I suspected that something more was up. Hehehe... and true to my guess... everyone was there! Everyone minus my bro that is... he's still in UK... and I just realised it's been like that for past couple of years... hehehe... My mum came back to surprise me! Hehehe... she's so sweet. Always thinking of ways to surprise me. Out of everyone... she's the one who always manage to surprise me on my birthday... I remember the time she was away and she secretly ask my dad to buy me the little drawer with the rose design (still in my room and truly cherished!)... I practically shouted when I saw it... hehehe... and of course when she came back from PD just to surprise me in Cyber for my 20th birthday with a pink flower pillow that I had wanted for so long (she saw it and thought of me)... and now... her being here all the way from Terengganu just for my birthday... to add cherries to the cake... she got me a gorgeous MotherCare changing table...and a book on babies that I myself have been planning to buy  :D   Mummy really knows me...

The next day I had lunch with my 2 oldest friends and sis... the chickies of course! Ayu couldn't join us... but Nia came in her stead... :)  She's so cute! We had a nice lunch at Serai... and yummy dessert at Chilli's. Gossips were flying left and right as always and time flew by quickly... Poor hubby though was just waiting at home for me... Sorry sayang!

Hubby was asking me where I wanted to go for dinner... but being full from all the delicious food, my mind was at a blank. I was also not feeling like dressing up. So since it's my birthday... I decided to do what I would enjoy most... shopping around IKEA and Ikano area.. hehehe... mainly to check the wardrobe and fitted sheets at Early Years. Had super fun even though we ended up buying nothing but hangers from Tesco... heheheh What can I say... am a simple person with simple needs... let's save all the celebrating when darling baby gets here... ;)

Raya Aidilfitri 2010

It's been months since Hari Raya... but here I'd just like to post a short entry on that day and some fav pics of mine... :)

Raya started at Kajang house this year... promised hubby to spend the morning with mama and papa bersalam-salaman... He was sweetly excited in the morning... after Prayers, we gathered in his parents room to ask for forgiveness and just celebrate Hari Raya together with Along, Kak Liyana and Andy. Sadly, the family wasn't complete this year since Angah, Kak Ir and Ilhan went back to Sandakan to spend the raya there.

After that we went to my parents house in Subang for the remainder of the day. Though my stomach was already full, I can't resist sampling some rendang and nasi impit (my fav raya food) while we waited for the ever late Meqy and her entourage. Anyhow, here's some of my fav pics for this year's raya...

That's me and naz holding on to my tummy and our precious 3 months baby :) Where's abang u might ask? Well, he's the cameraman! :P
